I saw you today at the fountain. You did as
usual; preached to any ear too close to ignore
your cooled ire. For a spark our minds
were in agreement, over people who could
never see the shapes the light fractured into
it died just as sudden -
my blood turned into the crystals which I
made jade glasses. And threw the broken
splinters to your undying gaze and throat.
For in our sullen youth you pierced my
mind with rose quartz I still can’t remove.
You step into the open meadow where I
blood-sucker with a hunger stand to gain
nothing but blood and pale moon love
can sooth my wounds...
