What do I like about the Quadrants? Well. I like how it makes you think of how diffrent types of relationships are all important, how it's weird in its monogamous polyamory, it makes you think of what you want from your relationships. It shows how relationships can have fitting labels even if those labels are alien to the setting. It can show ways where hate or mediation or sexless relationships can be just as important as the Norm for Romance.

Quadrants helps me appriate how complicated relationships can be (especially in a world who likes to pretend that The One is not only the only desirable thing, but the only option too).

That's what I love about it too -- the diversity. The recognition that there are more kinds of intense and important relationships than just the <3 kind. I also love the vocabulary, because it is way easier to talk about things that already have words for them.
